| While I liked the concept of just getting Howie out to the island and getting the story going, the intro you mentioned, Zombie, does indeed plug up, at least in part, a serious plot hole at the end. |

That's the one I saw, a long time ago. Man, I just can't imagine seeing it any other way. That characterization of Howie seems so critical to the movie. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for the uncut version- after all this talk of the remake I'm feeling in the mood to see it again.

The uncut version can be a bit pricey. I haven't seen too many listings for it under $30.

You can still get the uncut version on VHS brand new from Sinister Cinema.
It's been a long time since I bought from SC but back then they were pretty reliable. |
