Coming to theaters in 2010, Straw Dogs in which: "James Marsden (X-Men) stars as a Los Angeles screenwriter who moves to the American south with his spouse."
Let me guess, LA liberals get harassed by a bunch of gap-toothed rednecks until they take the law into their own hands.

May be old news, but apparently, they're making a live-action remake of Cowboy Bebop starring...wait for it...Keenu Reeves!

| You know, I never got the whole Cowboy Bebop thing. Maybe a live action movie is not that bad an idea. And Reeves is no Brando, but he's been effective in a handful of films, so who knows. |

I see on the horizon there is another "interpretation" of Sherlock Holmes starring Robert Downey, Jr. Looks rather interesting, with Holmes being played as a Victorian hipster doofus and Dr. Watson as The Sundance Kid to his Butch Cassidy. Rather a contrast from the upright Basil Rathbone eunuch I have enjoyed in previous years.
The ex-Mr. Madonna (Guy Ritchie) directed this opus. It will be fascinating to see if he has shaken off the jinx of The Material Girl and has actually made something worth watching.
She was bred in old Kentucky, but she's just a crumb up here. |

Also heard that they are remaking The Clash of the Titans with a release date sometime in 2010. Starring Sam Worthington as Perseus; Liam Neeson as Zeus; Ralph Fiennes as Hades; Gemma Arterton as Io; and Alexa Davalos as Andromeda.
