Somehow, Steven Seagal as a police officer on a reality TV show is just hard to believe...

My god, that's HILARIOUS! Those judo throws he did looked unbelievably fake and the cops watching his judo demonstration looked like they were trying (very! hard not to laugh.
One thought ran through my mind as I watched the clip: "TJ Hooker outtakes".

Speaking of donuts: I was watching a couple of Seagal movies ( Kill Switch and Today You Die) on the weekend and I swear that Seagal was using a stand-in for the fight scenes. During the fights you only saw "Seagal" from the back or when his face was blocked-out, obscured or some-such. He's also starting to show his age; his face was puffy and he also wore a large jacket/overcoat/shirt to hide his body (expanding waistline??).
Time to pack it in I think.

niccolom, you're right. In his latest series of DTV efforts, Seagal is doubled for pretty much everything. Most of the time the "fight" scenes are composed of shots of arms and legs hitting their target and crudily inserted shots of Seagal's face looking bored.
As for his waistline, in Pistol whipped, which otherwise is his last watchable film, he is shown a few times without his costumary oversized jackets / trenchcoats, and the guy just looks inmense.
Time for him to hit the gym, or start considering a lypo. |

I'm not sure if it was someone here or may be I read it at another webpage, but someone compared Seagal to Chuck Norris. Specifically, the fact that Norris is 11 years older than Seagal and has still managed to stay in pretty good shape and as far as I know still does his own fight scenes. Not to shabby if you ask me.

| It would be cool if he was cast in a Three Stooges movie as Shemp. Then, after Shemp's death when the trio used a lot of footage shot-from-the-back or with unconvincing doubles, Steven Seagal would be in familiar territory and might actually win that Oscar he craves. |
