Oof! Do we have a contender or what? Jenny McCartney is one of the most annoying, untalented, idiotic losers in the WORLD. She wrote the screenplay for this. I couldn't have scripted a more humiliating ending to her career if God himself had placed the Ballpoint of Fate in my very own little hand!

Saw the review of this last week on Ebert & Roeper. This looked very, very bad. Thought I'd check out some reviews online - stopped off at IMDB and found a bunch of "reviews" gushing about how great this turkey is and what a marvelous talent McCarthy is (WOW! Not only does she star -- She wrote it too!!!! and, and, and Carmen Electra is like, such an amazing comic actor...) -- Well, there we have it, DIRTY LOVE is obviously the CITIZEN KANE of comedies, and those negative things I've been hearing are just the insane ramblings of bitter no-talents who are so un-hip that it's pathetic.
Or maybe IMDB just isn't a reliable place to gage the quality of a movie...

Did anyone else notice that one of Dirty Love's co-stars is none other than Freddy (of Freddy Got Fingered) himself, Eddie Kaye Thomas?
Is he trying to prove that he can be in a worse movie than Freddy Got Fingered?? Wasn't co-starring along with Tom Green enough?

Yeppers, this looks like a loser. You know, gross out comedies are one realm that I was happy to see men dominate exclusive of women. Leave to an uberbimbo to ruin it.
If I wasn't in west Texas right now, we could have a sweepstakes: I buy the winner a free ticket if he (and it'll be a he because not every gal's an idiot) goes with me to this.
Because, Lord knows, I'm never going to another of these alone.

Dear Pip, what on earth could possess you to stake a claim to this one? You have nothing to prove to us. We already know just how willing you are to hurl yourself onto bombs like these to spare the rest of us.
Though if I may, I think I can speak for all the men of Jabootu's when I say that if we were to enter your sweepstakes, it would only be in part because of our idiocy. More than that, it would be because the chance to watch firsthand as you go ballistic on the movie is too good a chance to pass up. |

There are many possibilities, John. As for myself, why do I keep watching the Star Wars Holiday Special? Who knows? Dementia. Childhood trauma. It could be anything. All I know is - someone has to be there for these things. All we can do is hang our heads - and weep...

Anyway, what I'd intended to put above was: I'd go for the fun of meeting Pip, but no doubt my wife would murder me in my sleep if I went to the movies with a female woman of the opposite gender. And you're probably nowhere near Lubbock anyway (let's face it, who the hell is?). |
