| Has anyone noticed that as Seagal and Jim Belushi age they've evolved into twins? |

Movie? Did the guy even know what it was he was reviewing?
Hmm. I detect a faint whiff of spambot...
I found the CD to be a bit odd. There are some genuinely talented background artists and singers, who I hope were very well paid for their time. It's like finding a lump of coal in a gold box. If you could imagine, say, me performing an opera about software testing, backed by the Metropolitan Opera with Pavarotti singing backup, you're not far from how it feels to listen to this movie.
Whoops, actually that's my bad. While I was translating I typed movie instead of CD. Mea culpa!

Dang, that's too bad -- it was pretty funny.

Criminey - now there's something else I have to buy. Will it never end?

You know, I can only think of the upsides of Schwarzenegger as Governor of California and Seagal being Governor of ... I don't know, Nevada. Then Chuck Norris could take office in Texas, Stallone could be the Mayor of New York and before you know it, politics would get a lot more interesting.
Yeah, you'd have a Civil War within a week.

Stallone mayor of NYC? Never.
Stallone mayor of Philadelphia. That might be better.

He's got a point though. How dare Arnold retire from show business and actually try to make himself useful, when he could be ineffecutally strumming a guitar instead.
To borrow from Commissioner Gordon, a thought struck me. A thought so terrifying it I scarce dare give it utterance... what if we lived in a world where Arnold went into singing and Seagal into government? My mind refuses to even contemplate it...
Now,now...step away from the concept...nobody has to get hurt...thats it, nice and easy...

From the translated review of the album: "We have had a little preview in one of his movies: On Deadly Ground (which I recommend, by the way)."
Oh, I recommend it, too. *cough*
But actually the movie this fellow is thinking of is not On Deadly Ground, but Fire Down Below, where Seagal does wield a guitar in a much more dangerous fashion than Jackie Chan ever could.
PEGGY: I don't see how having a girl on the team would ruin it. Did a woman judge ruin the Supreme Court? HANK: Yes, and that woman's name was Earl Warren.

Uh... again my mistranslation. I thought "Menace Toxique" was what "On Deadly Ground" was translated as. In my defence, I think "Toxic Threat" (or "Toxic Menace") could be an interchangeable title for either of those movies.
I gotta say I'm embarassed now, since I actually moonlight as a French-English translator from time to time.

I think the Seagal macho mystique is gone when a reviewer can comment thus: quote: Mr. Seagal, who is able to hit the high notes as if he was eunuch...

I must find this CD. I must hear the music. I can't ever say I've seen and heard it all otherwise!
And plus, I just finished watching House of Wax, and seeing Paris Hilton 'act' (and she only came off as slightly above wood in quality due to the lack of acting on anyone elses part) and frankly, I need to know which shapes up worse.
And now, I'm like everyone else! I gots a blog too! and I assessed House of Wax! (warning, not spoiler free, and while this may not be too bad I've got a rep for being kinda mean and grumpy, so....) http://matrixprime.blogspot.com
